If only dogs could talk...
If only dogs could talk,
And if the dogs could talk
There wouldn’t be a time to walk.
To walk them along the streets
We would rather discuss some paper sheets.
With written words on each page written,
And all the kittens in their mittens would rather bite off their tails,
Then hear again the chitchat rhythms.
If only I had a pup of the exotic kind,
It would remind me every time what shall I do and shall I not.
But maybe some of you would say, “I’d never follow I’d go nuts!”
Then you, of course, can all wake up,
But let me dream a little more before the sun will rise, daydream is gone,
I won’t detain you any longer.
For this I’d better say I wish,
I wish I had a dog to talk to,
Talk over everything I bear.
The dog and I would not be lonely,
We’d be together in this world.
